We only had this for the first time earlier this year, and it is taken us until a few nights ago to do it at home.
It is simple and delicious, and sold to the kids with toast soldiers. We will be doing it again tomorrow evening for New Year's Eve.
Serves 2
1 whole Camembert, in a wooden box
1 garlic clove, sliced
3-4 sprigs fresh thyme, sage or rosemary
1 tsp olive oil
Heat oven to 200C (180C Fan).
Take the Camembert out of it's box and remove any plastic/waxed paper. Place the Camembert back in the bottom part of the box.
Make small cuts in the top of the cheese with a sharp knife and poke in slivers of garlic and sprigs of herbs into the slits.
Drizzle over the olive oil and put the cheese in it's box on a baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the centre of the cheese is melted. You can tell this by gently prodding the top of the cheese at one side. If it has melted, the cheese wobbles a bit like a waterbed!
Serve with fingers of toast, french bread, or crudites.
