Tuna Pasta Bake

A drizzly day calls for comfort food.  And pasta blinded the kids to the fish in it.

Serves 6

600g pasta
50g butter or sunflower oil
50g plain flour
600ml milk
300g frozen or canned sweetcorn
250g cheddar cheese
1 clove of garlic, crushed
2 cans of tuna, drained

Cook the pasta according the instructions on the packet.

Meanwhile whisk the butter/oil, milk, & flour together in a saucepan over a medium heat. When the flour in mixed in well, stir continuously with a flat bottomed wooden spoon to ensure the sauce doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan whilst it thickens.

When thickened, add all but a large handful of the cheese and when melted, add the sweetcorn, garlic, and tuna.  Mix well.

When the pasta is ready, drain and then pour over the sauce. Tip into a baking dish and sprinkle over the remaining cheese.

Bake at 180C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
