Noodles & Sweetcorn


 An exotic little number this. Not. Dad's cooking tonight, and with his mother around endlessly enthusing about her grandchildren he opted for an easy favourite whilst trying to explain the Wii to her.  Princess doesn't get on with noodles so she had a helping of Chilli & Beans left over from earlier in the week and some pasta.

Bring a pan of water to the boil and add a handful of frozen peas and sweetcorn.  When the water comes back to the boil add one layer of Sharwoods medium noodles per child, and cooking according to the packet (5 minutes). Drain and toss in a little soy sauce and sesame oil (or vegetable oil).  Serve with a large napkin tied round their necks to avoid oil damage to their clothes.

Darling Big Boy (4) is getting pretty accomplished with his 'noodlesticks'.

Thankfully Dad applied his culinary skills to our dinner - Chorizo, Red Pepper & Pea Risotto.
