Fried Garlic Bread

My unofficial sister in law introduced us to fried garlic bread when we first holidayed together in the South of France. It’s a great way to use up leftover baguette. 

1 baguette
1/2 a block of butter, softened
1 large garlic clove, crushed or finely chopped

Mash the garlic into the butter. Slice the baguette into 2cm wide rounds. 

Spread the garlic butter onto each side of the baguette slices and fry in a preheated frying pan until golden brown. 

Eat when still warm.
